On-screen actions - Navigate block

Studio has a range of different action blocks that you can use to build different on-screen actions. These actions happen on the client-side and thus enable you to get a response immediately. There are navigation actions like opening a URL or navigating to a page from the current app, that are grouped under the Navigate block.

The navigate to block enables configuration of the action field to navigate to a specific form.

  • Navigate to: Specifies the form to navigate to from the current form.

  • Transition: Specifies the transition effect to scroll or slide to the other page. You can specify slide to right, slide to left, slide from top,slide from bottom.

  • Reset Target Screen: Specify whether the target screen would be reset, value are True or False.

  • Validate Current Screen: Specifies whether to navigate to the next form if the current screen data is not valid. Values can be set to True or False.

You can then specify a condition as to when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important that would help you identify the tasks in the flow.

Exit App

This specifies whether on completion of all the tasks you want to exit the App. Here you can specify a condition when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important that would help you identify the tasks in the flow.

Open URL

Here you would specify the URL that you want to open on completion of an action. You can either specify the link or use the keywords that would provide you an input field or control to provide the valid URL.

Logout

This allows you to Log out of the current micro-app.

To use the feature, under Navigate block, select Logout and click Continue.

Microapp Nav

This allows you to specify the Micro-app to navigate to from the current app.

  • To use the feature, under Navigate block, select MicroApp Nav and click Continue.

  • Under Action button ID, select the MicroApp to navigate to and click Continue.

  • You can also specify a condition when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important that would help you identify the tasks in the flow. Click Finish.

Redirect Parent Window

This allows you to redirect the parent of the iframe to the specific URL. The action is useful only when your microapp is embedded into a parent website.

  • To use the redirection feature, under Navigate block, select Redirect Parent Window and click Continue.

  • Enter the Redirection URL and click Continue. You can use a keyword or enter the specific URL that points to your parent website page. Make sure that your URL starts with “https://” so that it take it to your secure parent page.

  • You can also specify a condition when to execute the action and which environment. Add an Action Unique name that would help you identify the tasks in the flow. Click Finish.

Close Overlay Screens

This helps in closing the overlying screens visible at that time like Menu, Popup menus, and Trays. It is typically useful when you want to hide or close the overlay menus that would allow you to provide the complete screen for better access to different form actions.

  • To use the feature, under Navigate block, select Close Overlay Screen and click Continue. This will remove any overlying screens present on the form.
  • You can also specify a condition when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important that would help you identify the tasks in the flow. Click Finish.
