On-screen actions - App block

The APP block provides the features linked to the app or screens. So typically you would get the action items to validate screens, reset screen, hide screen loader, and show screen loader.

Validate screen

The Validate screen action is used to specify that the data from the selected screen should be validated before you proceed to the next screen.

  • Select Screen(s): This is a list of screen in the current Apps that can be added to be validated before navigating to other screen.

The action returns True or False which can then be useful to initiate further action. You can then specify what would be the next step after the data from the specified screen has been validated or has failed validation.

You can then specify a condition as to when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important, that would help you identify the tasks in the flow.

Reset screen

In multiple screen scenarios once the data is submitted you can reset the screen or screens depending upon your use case. With this action you specify the screen or screens that would be reset before moving to the next step.

  • Select Screen(s): Here you have a list of screens to select, that would be reset on form submission.

You can then specify a condition as to when to execute the action and which environment. An Action Unique name is important, that would help you identify the tasks in the flow.

Hide Screen Loader

Now we have already seen how to set the screen loader through Styling. If you have set the Screen loader which would be displayed when there is a certain amount of delay between two actions, you can also hide the screen loader between certain actions if the loader hampers your user experience.

The Hide Screen Loader enables you to hide the screen loader between specific actions. Simply select the action Hide Screen Loader and your loader would not be displayed after the particular action.

Show Screen Loader

In large apps there would be times when your form content is huge and might take some time for the full page to be loaded completely. In such time, adding a screen loader is the best option to keep the user interested and busy. With this action block you can Show Screen Loader between to actions and provide a smooth transitioning effect.

Simply select the action Show Screen Loader and your loader would be displayed after the particular action.
